TERMS & CONDITIONS
Phone Estimates:
It is important to be as accurate as possible when providing an Inventory List. Your Estimate is based on the Inventory List that you provide. We use this Inventory List to determine how many movers and hours your job will require. This helps us with scheduling and enables us to give you an accurate Estimate. The Estimate is based on your home being packed and ready to move. Adding a significant number of items to your move after you have given us an Inventory List will increase the time required for your move, thus, the Cost for your move will increase.

Cancellations/Rescheduling:
We require a minimum of 72 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less notice may be subject to a fee.
Payment:
We accept payment via Zelle, Venmo, Cashapp and Apple Pay. Cash is also accepted. Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Additional Charges:
Additional charges may apply for services not included in the original estimate, such as extra pickups or drop-offs, door removal or reattachment, last-minute packing, or any unusual or complex moving conditions deemed outside the standard scope of work.​​
​Arrival Times:
AB Kings Movers Ltd Co. will give you an estimated 1-hour window of arrival. We make every effort to arrive within that window. Please remember that the window of arrival time is just an estimate. If we are running early or late, we will let you know as soon as possible. Please make sure we have a phone number to get in touch with you on moving day.

Inclement Weather:
Additional fees may apply if weather conditions delay or complicate access to your home. We will make every effort to complete your move safely, but we cannot guarantee performance in extreme conditions. In the event of snow, ice, or severe storms, jobs may be rescheduled to prevent risk to personnel or equipment.

Firearms:
We do not handle firearms under any circumstances. Please ensure all firearms are removed from the premises before your move. AB Kings Moving Ltd Co. is not liable for any firearms left on-site or in items being transported.

Travel Time:
Travel time is calculated from the moment our crew arrives at the pickup location until the job is fully completed. This includes all time spent on-site at both the pickup and drop-off locations.

If You Pack:
Please ensure all items are securely packed in boxes, no open-top or plastic bags. Tape both the top and bottom of each box and clearly label all sides, especially if fragile. Items such as lamps, electronics, and breakables (e.g., china, glass, DVDs) must be properly packed and cushioned.

​Contents of Drawers:
All drawers must be emptied, especially those in pressboard, particleboard, or office-style furniture. Desk drawers must be cleared. Lateral and fireproof file cabinets must be emptied. Clothing may remain in dresser drawers, but all fragile, valuable, or heavy items (like jewelry, books, or perfumes) must be removed or packed separately. Drawers should be taped shut or locked.
Elevators:
If applicable, please contact your building management in advance to reserve an elevator and have it padded for your move. Be aware of any time restrictions or move-in/move-out policies your building may have.

Damages:
At the beginning of every move, the foreman will do a walk-through with you, the customer, and advise you of the wrapping/packing option and cost to protect your belongings during the move. Should you choose not to use our protective services and sign a release of liability, AB Kings Moving Ltd Co. will not be held liable/cover/reimburse you for any damage that may occur because you refuse to use our wrapping/packing services. Although our movers will be as careful as possible, from time to time, damages may occur. If there is damage, notify your movers immediately. Damages must be noted on your contract. If you discover damage after the move, call the office within 30 days of your move. No damage claims will be honored until the charges for moving services have been paid in full. AB Kings Moving Ltd Co. reserves the right to repair any damaged item before you have it repaired or replaced.​
​Appliances:
AB Kings Movers Ltd Co. will not disconnect and reconnect washers, dryers, and refrigerators. We will not replace electrical cords on dryers. Refrigerator doors sometimes need to be removed to go through narrow hallways or doors. The AB Kings Movers Ltd Co. will not open doors that have water or electrical connections going through them, and we will not remove freezer bottom drawers on refrigerators. If you know that this needs to be done to move the refrigerator in or out of the area where it is located, please contact an appliance company to do that ahead of time. AB Kings Movers Ltd Co. will not be held liable for any internal damage to any electrical or electronic equipment (which may be a loose wire, blown fuse, etc.) We are not responsible for minor dents or scratches on major appliances.

Released Valuation Coverage:
AB Kings Movers Ltd Co. provides Released Valuation Coverage on all moves. This is federally mandated default coverage of a $0.50 per-pound damage payout.
It is not value-based and has many exclusions that are listed below.
What is Not Covered:
The following items or circumstances are not covered by Released Valuation Coverage or our company’s liability:

Items packed by the customer, including boxes, we cannot verify were properly packed

Granite, marble, tile, and concrete, due to natural fissures and structural inconsistencies

Furniture without proper padding or protection, especially if padding is declined

Glass items, mirrors, artwork, antiques, and electronics without proper packaging

Jewelry, cash, collectibles, medicine, legal documents, or other high-value or irreplaceable items
-
Clay pots, ceramic statues, or outdoor décor (these are especially fragile and not covered even when empty)
What is Covered:
​Despite the list of exclusions and limitations, AB Kings Moving Ltd Co. provides Released Valuation Coverage for items that are knowingly damaged while in the possession and care of our movers, provided those items do not fall under any of the stated exclusions.
Release of Liability:
In some cases, you may request that items be placed in areas where doing so could risk damage to the items or property. If this situation arises, our foreman will present a release of liability form for you to sign, indicating that you accept responsibility for any resulting damage. We will not attempt to move those items into position unless the release has been signed.
Right of Refusal:
We reserve the right to refuse service under any conditions we deem unsafe, unsanitary, or abusive. If we exercise this right, AB Kings Moving Ltd Co. will not be held liable for direct or consequential damages resulting from the refusal.

Gratuities for the Movers/Packers:
Tipping is never required, but always appreciated. If you feel our crew provided exceptional service, gratuities are a thoughtful way to show your appreciation.
